Dr. Shairbek Dzhuraev is a seasoned researcher and policy analyst based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. He is the co-founder and president of Crossroads Central Asia, a research institute dedicated to understanding and informing the political, economic, and security dynamics of Central Asia. Dr. Dzhuraev has a rich history of academic and professional leadership, including roles as Deputy Director at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, and as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie research fellow at the University of St Andrews, where he completed his PhD in International Relations. He has conducted extensive research and evaluation projects for various international organizations, focusing on governance, development, and peacebuilding in Central Asia. Dr. Dzhuraev is also an influential voice in regional security discussions, contributing through numerous publications and his engagement with a network of innovative scholars and policy institutions.
